I remember the girl you are talking about. I just can't think of her name in the book, I just read all 9 books in 3 weeks I was hooked! In the HBO series she is Amy Burley, played by Lizzie Caplin. Json and her are an item, and she seems to settle him down a lot. I dont want to say too much here incase ppl havent seen the series but her story line finishes up in the first season. Im not sure I remember how it ends in the book, or if, like you say the subject is just dropped.
