Tara Thorton is a loud, obnoxious, but loyal friend of Sookie's.  She loses many jobs because of her mouth untill one day, she ends up a Merlottes, and Sam gives her a job.  She is Sookie's best friend from childhood.  She acts tough, but she takes care of her alcoholic mother at home.  She also has a soft heart for Sookie and Jason.
